DJ DIRT combines a curated newswire, original articles in The Elevator, and data products that track attention across electronic music.

Original reporting and curation

The newswire identifies the originating publication and sends readers to the original report. Those publishers retain their work. The Elevator contains DJ DIRT features and analysis; publication bylines identify the editorial desk rather than claiming an interview or named reporter where one is not documented.

Facts, analysis and corrections

Reporting should distinguish verified facts, attributed statements, allegations and analysis. Product descriptions and company-supplied figures should remain attributed. An opinion about an unsettled legal dispute is not a court finding. To request a correction, email the editorial desk with the URL, disputed claim and supporting source. Significant factual corrections should be acknowledged on the affected story.

Technology and AI assistance

Automated systems discover sources and organize signals. An extracted name, connection or genre is a candidate until adequately supported. AI assistance does not replace source checking or establish permission to reproduce an image. Missing evidence stays missing; we do not invent quotes, interviews, biographies or data history to fill a page.

What Hype measures

Hype tracks recorded news attention: mentions, source diversity and recency in the sources we scan. It is not a measure of talent, sales, listening share or the whole electronic music market. A missing observation does not prove that an artist has no audience. Follower history is shown separately when observations exist.

Commercial independence

Buying advertising does not purchase a ranking, editorial priority or a favorable review. Paid, affiliate, ownership or other material relationships require clear disclosure where they exist. Sharing a subject with an advertisement does not, by itself, prove that an article was paid for.

Images and embeds

Source attribution and usage rights are separate checks. A public image URL or social profile does not grant permission to republish its media. During AdSense preparation, the headline image is retained by request. Other unattributed images remain off unless they are explicitly recorded as publisher-owned photographs or AI-generated editorial illustrations. An upload alone does not establish ownership. Official source links remain available. Approved licensed media must retain its required credit and license information.
